Collection: WE RUN UPTOWN
We Run Uptown (WRUCREW) is a running collective that was born in the heart of Washington Heights in 2013. What started as a few friends running the George Washington Bridge has grown into one of NYC’s most influential running crews, reshaping what the running community looks and feels like uptown.
WRUCREW creates space for culture, connection, and movement with purpose. With deep roots in Dominican heritage and NYC street culture, the crew has built a platform where everyone—from first-time runners to marathon vets feels seen, celebrated, and supported.
Weekly runs aren’t just about miles; they’re about showing up, pushing past limits, and bringing people together through rhythm, resilience, and pride. For WRUCREW, running is a form of self-expression and a way to claim space in a city that often overlooks communities of color.
This isn’t just about running. It’s about rewriting the narrative of who gets to move, lead, and be seen.
BEHIND THE COLLAB:
Born and raised in Uptown, both By Lolita and We Run Uptown are deeply rooted in the rhythm, resilience, and pride of our neighborhood. This collaboration is a tribute to the community that raised us, the legacy we carry, and the cultures that continue to inspire us. It’s about more than jewelry or running—it’s about identity, movement, and the power of showing up, boldly and unapologetically.
This collection brings together two distinct styles, each rooted in legacy, identity, and self-expression.
The WRUCREW Bamboo Earrings fuse ’90s NYC nostalgia with the fearless energy of We Run Uptown. They’re a nod to the era that shaped us—reimagined through movement, culture, and the spirit of Uptown.
The Marathoner Hoop Earrings are inspired by the finish line. Modeled after the medals earned after 26.2 miles, they’re a wearable badge of honor. Unlike race medals that get tucked away post-run, these hoops let the world know—you’re part of the 1%, a marathoner, for life.
